The file XMLDefault.cnf.xml is used by IP phones and devices that did not find a more specific SEPAAAABBBBCCCC.cnf.xml file. The IP phones that download this XML file through TFTP will now know the IP address and port of the Cisco CME router, as well as the required version of firmware that it will need to have to function with the Cisco CME properly. The file is generated by the Cisco CME system when the command create-cnf is entered in telephony service mode. This and other related commands will be covered in more detail in the next lesson.
